True Mountain Maple Syrup chose the maple leaf design and our barn quilt was created by artist Saskia Reinholt with the help from Franklin County community members at workshops hosted by the
High Peaks Creative Council.
The Barn Quilt Trail in Maine's High Peaks is a growing network of over 70 barn quilt murals located in Franklin County and Somerset County. The collaborative community project is organized by the non-profit organization High Peaks Creative Council with the goal of celebrating rural culture while furthering the visibility of the Maine High Peaks Region as an arts, cultural and recreational destination.
Barn quilt murals honor and connect two parts of American culture which are quilt block patterns that were designed and handed down through generations of families and rural agriculture.
